Friday Sept 24-26th • Foraged Dinners • 7PM
Each Wild Kitchen dinner is a community affair. We sit together, eat together, and talk together. Everyone sits and eats at communal tables, while the forager explains the wild ingredients in the dishes and why we used them. Tickets are very limited, so please sign up soon. So we can help make sure more people get seats, we are having three nights of dinners this month. Same time, place, menu; different days.
Sat-Sun Sept 25-26th • Mission Bicycle Festival • 11AM
It’s a two-day celebration of all things two-wheeled that kicks off on Saturday with a three-mile ride from Mission Bicycles at 776 Valencia to Golden Gate Park’s Tour De Fat.
Saturday Sept 25th • Dig In! • 12:30-3:30PM
We are working with the Slow Food Chapters locally and across the nation, to reach out to our communities and get some work done! This will be a single day event to gather together and volunteer with in each local community. The event at the SF Food Bank is one of the available options for volunteering with the Slow Food SF chapter.
Saturday Sept 25th • Cupcake Wars and Vino Moda • 4PM
It’s cupcake vs. cupcake in Cake Moda’s tastiest competition yet! Bay area’s top cupcake bakers face off in three elimination challenges until only one decorator remains. This one day indoor event takes place at Fort Mason Center, Herbst Pavilion. Northern California’s most exceptional wine tasting & wine market, food purveyors, specialty vendors, live music and more. Sunday Sept 26th • Convival Table • 4-6PM
In a series of tours featuring local businesses, Slow Food San Francisco’s Convivial Table is heading to the new market at 331 Cortland Street in Bernal Heights to meet with the owner and vendors. With a focus on local, seasonal, and sustainable, this collaboration of San Franciscans offering artisanal food and food-related services will talk to us about how they got started in their unique business model, and what it’s like to run 6 different shops under one roof.
Sunday Sept 26th • Artisan Fete • 5PM
Please join Slow Club on Sunday, September 26th as they host a Fete d’Artisan to benefit NEST. Come help celebrate the global artisan movement by partaking in the best harvest dinner for miles. Enjoy the “celebrity bartender”, a Silent Auction, gift bags for all attendees and a formal presentation by Rebecca, Nest’s Founder.
Wednesday Sept 29th • Fair Trade Month Kick-Off Party • 7PM
October is the seventh annual Fair Trade Month and Club Dine In! is excited to join Trendy Lime and Fair Trade USA as a media partner for this year’s biggest fair trade party on September 29th. Taking place at the greenest bar in the United States, Temple SF, the kick-off unites Fair Trade USA’s diverse corporate, nonprofit and stakeholders in more than 100 events, promotions and fund-raising activities across the United States. Through these events and celebrations, Fair Trade USA aims to generate awareness of Fair Trade’s comprehensive approach to social, economic and environmental empowerment and sustainability among farming communities in the developing world.
