Join the race, help fundraise, or just kickback and have fun. Relay For Life SF Embarcadero will be held at Little Marina Green near Chrissy Field. This will be a full day with bands, food, fun, and – most of all – a celebration of the fight against cancer!

Embrace your inner tourist and go on a sunset cruise on the Bay, with your fleece and camera of course! The Red and White Fleet’s largest vessel, The Royal Prince, plays host for a two-hour journey with live guitar music, buffet appetizers, and a complimentary cocktail or soda.

July 26th-Aug 1st • Riesling Week • Ongoing
During the week of July 26-August 1, the European Union and Wines of Germany will sponsor the sixth annual “Riesling Week,” a celebration of the diverse Rieslings from Germany, Austria and Alsace. During this week, restaurants in New York, San Francisco, Las Vegas, Chicago, and Miami will offer consumers and Riesling enthusiasts the chance to sample different styles of European Riesling by the glass, by the bottle, or with a special pairing menu. In addition, wine shops will host European Riesling tastings throughout the week.

Live music, gourmet food, beer, wine, and amazing views of the Golden Gate Bridge, Angel Island and Alcatraz?! “Off The Grid” is organizing this weekly cultural market. Participating food vendors include  El Huarache Loco, Kung Fu Tacos, Azalina’s Malaysian, Hapa SF, Curry Up Now, Chairman Bao Truck, and many more.  The slightly new location will better protect you from the wind and give you more space to stand in the lines Get your cultural grub on!

Saturday July 31st • A New Farmer’s Market • 9-1PM

The Cow Palace Farmers’ Market will provide the surrounding communities of Visitacion Valley and Bayshore with a source of fresh and locally grown produce. Come out to the Cow Palace at 2600 Geneva Ave., Gate 5, to enjoy a day of fun and delicious food!

Celebrate the Indonesian culture with food, dance, and music. An uniquely San Francisco tradition, this event continues to be the biggest Indonesian event in the United States.

Sunday Aug 1st • Outside Art Street Party • 11AM
An outdoor event for the whole family, Out Side Art is bringing together a talented group of artists and DJs to represent some of San Francisco’s most creative scenes. The primary artistic focus of this event will be a coordinated effort by local artists to complete a Mural started by the internationally renowned British artist BANKSY. The live mural painting will be complimented by music from an eclectic variety of San Francisco’s best DJs.

Take in the fresh air as you move from asana to asana on Pier 39 this Sunday. Learn to quiet your mind and not be distracted by external factors as you strengthen and lengthen your body.

Friday Nights at the de Young offers a variety of interdisciplinary arts programs, including live music, poetry, films, dance, tours, and lectures. The cafe is open with a special Friday Nights dinner menu, and a no-host cocktail bar is serving drinks. There are art making activities for everyone. All Friday Night programming is FREE unless otherwise noted.

Saturday July 24th • Epicurious’ 3rd Annual Farmer’s Market Tour • 8-2PM 
Stop by the Epicurious booth at Saturday’s Ferry Building’s Farmer’s Market, where you can search for recipes on their new iPad app, sample chocolates, and pick up an eco-friendly tote (perfect for shopping the market)—all for free! Three local chefs will be present at the booth for live demonstrations and informational sessions on the  Chefs Move to Schools campaign, a healthy-eating initiative started by Michelle Obama.

 The SF Underground Farmers Market is a venue where you can taste and purchase the food that is being produced in backyards and home kitchens in the Bay Area. At the early shift you be able to purchase “take homeables” like jams, produce, and soaps. The later shift will mainly be food that’s ready to eat.

The evening begins with a FREE Summer Outdoor Social Dance. It is open to the public and all ages welcome. An engaging performance by Los Boleros Havana Dance Party fronted by Felix Samuel of Cuba and the Bay Areas own Alexa Weber Morales. Can’t quite salsa? Now worries… the FREE Summer Outdoor Social Dance includes a salsa lesson by the Best of the Bay award winners, Juan Gil and Rebecca Miller. Get there on early to take the lesson and be get ready for a night of dancing fun!!

Saturday July 25th • Chocolate Tour • 2PM
San Francisco is at the center of the new wave of artisan chocolatiers. They’re experimenting with high quality beans, new methods of production, exotic fillings and breathtaking packaging. Tour participants will learn about what makes fine chocolate and sample from a wide array of San Francisco gourmet chocolate boutiques. They will also get a Chocolate Lover Card to use on future chocolate shopping trips.

“Fashion Fights Aids” is a benefit fashion show in support of the upcoming AIDS Walk. Proceeds from the show will be donated to the San Francisco AIDS Foundation. FFA has a full line up of talented designers, DJs, giftbag giveaways, and talent dancers performing alongside the runway.

A breast cancer brewfest with more than 60 breweries. Ticket price includes unlimited beer tasting, food and non-alcoholic beverages, commemorative glass, and a good time. Join SDSAA and Club Dine In! in the fight against AIDS by walking and fundraising. AIDS Walk San Francisco does not require walkers to raise a minimum amount of money. The money raised by AIDS Walk San Francisco supports the services provided by the San Francisco AIDS Foundation (SFAF), in addition to other benefiting organizations representing the entire spectrum of HIV/AIDS services. The Peruvian Food Festival is  all about the Food.  With over 40 unique dishes from every region of Perú you could imagine prepared by 20 Restaurants/Chefs.  If you have never tried Peruvian Food this definitely the place to start your love for Peruvian Food.  If you already have tried Peruvian Food, here you will be able to enjoy unique dishes that you won’t find in restaurants.  Lastly, you can not forget to try Peruvian Pisco and Cerveza Cusqueña.  Enjoy everything the Peruvian Culture has to offer  and be entertained by traditional Peruvian music and dance performances.

Teach with Africa works to break down the economic and social barriers to education in Africa by sending teams of educators to implement projects in underserved communities through an exchange of teaching and learning. Run For Teachers organizes a benefit run (5K) to honor Tracey Lurie-Sklar and to benefit Teach With Africa.  The run is a 3.5 mile out-and-back course from the parking lot of the St. Francis Yacht Club along Crissy Field to the turnaround point at Fort Point.

Tuesday July 20th • Happy Tea Hour • 5:30-7:30PM

Get happy over tea Happy  Hour with Club Dine In!. Enjoy a sampling of teas at the tea bar and some sweet and savory snacks. With almost 2,100 acres, 900 milking cows, and two milking parlors, Tresch Dairy is the largest of the Straus Dairy partners. Join Kathy Tresch for a tour, bottle-feed a calf, see cows being milked, and churn and taste butter. Take a hay ride to the heirloom apple orchard, taste Straus milk products and learn about sustainable agricultural methods and the important role farms play in preserving watersheds and wildlife habitat. Join Broc Cellars winery for their second annual food and wine pairing. Three new wines will be released: a white blend, a red blend, and a 120-year-old vine carbonic maceration carignan. Chef Ian Begg of Naked Lunch will be preparing very specific food pairings for each wine. $20 for food and wine pairing.

Thur-Mon July 1-5 • Marin County Fair • 11-11PM
The 65th edition of the Marin County Fair will celebrate the theme Going Global: Connecting Cultures complete with attractions, interactive exhibits and contests that offer the best in family fun. Along with traditional Fair favorites (thrilling carnival rides, delicious food, loveable farm animals and dazzling fireworks) there’ll be exciting family discoveries each day of the Fair!

Friday July 2nd • Turning the Tables • 7-9PM
A recurring theme in the art of Glenda and Jesse Drew is to render visible the often unseen human labor embodied in the modern food system.  Their most recent effort, Turning the Tables, is a series of video/audio portraits of waiters in local San Francisco restaurants.  By sharing the hopes, thoughts, and stories of these men and women, Turning the Tables offers viewers a richer, more human view of restaurant culture.  Join us to celebrate the opening of this exhibition, enjoy a glass of wine, and spend some time with these wonderful moving portraits.

With live acts spinning grooves on multiple stages, the Fillmore Jazz Festival welcomes artists from all over the jazz spectrum, including everything from jazz-fusion to vintage jazz standards. The Jazz Festival prides itself on not only looking forward into the future of jazz music, but it is likewise deeply respectful of the jazz legends that came before. In addition to live music, the Fillmore Jazz Festival will feature over eight blocks of arts and crafts, gourmet food and drinks on San Francisco’s historic Fillmore Street.

The Crush Barrel Wine Market is the first of its kind to offer consumers a $10 instant rebate towards the purchase of wine. Mind-Body Wellness Workshop is a free community service initiative by The Art of Living Foundation and aims at creating more awareness about healthy and stress-free way of life.
