Mission’s Community Market

The first-ever Mission Community Market opened with much fanfare (Mission-style) on Thursday, July 22nd. The market is the liveliest in town- Capoeria from Abada Capeoira , Mission musicians Classical Revolution, children and adults playing hopscotch in a dedicated play space, live mural painting, brightly colored summer produce, and locally made arts and crafts. Producers include Happy Boy Farms, Atara Farms, Twin Girls, Tomatero, Blue House, amongst a few others. You can buy hot food prepared by La Cocina and desserts from Sweet Construction. You have to have Sweet Construction’s Pecan Snowball! Or, indulge in locally made soaps and shampoos from Rubber Ducky Soap, a business started from the Women’s Initiative. Also, check out crafts and artisans from MiSBA.
